On a Roll: Locke Hits for Cycle Saturday, June 30th , 2046 Finishing with 5 hits is a great day for any player, but Jamie Locke made it even more special by hitting for the cycle at Dwyer Stadium today. Locke had 1 single, 2 doubles, 1 triple and 1 home run for the Boise Hawks and led them to a 13-9 decision over the Batavia Muckdogs. The shortstop also finished with 5 runs scored and 5 runs batted in. "Awesome," Locke said when asked how the accomplishment felt. Jamie Locke hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Eric Jordan in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and tripled in the 9th. This season Locke has hit 3 home runs and posted a .290 batting average. |
