Cordero Holds Idaho Falls Scoreless Wednesday, August 29th , 2046 In a splendid 12-0 shutout performance, William Cordero of the Vancouver Canadians subdued the Idaho Falls Chukars on a 3-hitter. "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes, so I kept sending him out there," Vancouver manager Devlin Peyton said in postgame comments. Cordero registered 8 strikeouts and 1 walk. So far this year Cordero has made 24 starts, tossed 168 innings, struck out 172 batters and walked 39. His record is 17-2 with a 1.88 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .201 batting average. |
