State College Loses Vergara for Season Wednesday, September 12th , 2046 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the State College Spikes: starting pitcher Marcos Vergara is out for the year. Vergara suffered a damaged elbow ligament on 09/10/2046. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official. Presently Vergara has a 3-11 mark in 24 starts with a 4.40 ERA. He has given up 85 hits in 104.1 innings, struck out 133 and issued 72 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .214 batting average against him. |
