5-for-6 Day for Kim Saturday, September 15th , 2046 Du Kim exploded for a barrage of base hits today at MCU Park. The Eugene center fielder had a field day in the 25-1 triumph over the Brooklyn Cyclones, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Kim must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Du Kim tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This season Kim is batting .272 with 136 hits, 8 home runs, 70 RBIs, .369 OBP and has scored 94 runs. |
