Young Blisters Los Angeles (NYP) Friday, September 21st , 2046 Joe Young really did a number on the Los Angeles (NYP) Dodgers -- and the Los Angeles (NYP) did one right back on Young's Doubledays, taking the Las Palmas Complex contest 6-4. Young delivered a huge 5-for-6 performance for Auburn, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box today," the 27-year-old third baseman said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Joe Young singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and grounded out in the 12th. This season Young has hit at a .296 clip with 7 RBIs, 1 home runs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. |
