Rome Takes Divisional Championship in Deciding Game Saturday, October 20th , 2046 The sweet swing of Jose Melendez has led his team through the Divisional Championship. The Rome Braves star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Cincinnati (NYP) Reds to advance to the Conference Championship. The Braves won the final game at State Mutual Stadium by a score of 5-1 and the series 4-3. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Melendez. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Melendez hit .364 with a .483 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.
