Dust Devils Prevail, as Divisional Championship Goes to the Wire Saturday, October 20th , 2046 The Tri-City Dust Devils are heading to the Conference Championship, having narrowly defeated the Los Angeles (NYP) Dodgers. Tri-City edged Los Angeles (NYP) in the series 4-3, with a win at Las Palmas Complex in the clinching game by a 12-6 margin. Dave McBain turned in a strong offensive performance for the Dust Devils and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if McBain continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .538 with a .625 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
