Moore Tosses No-Hitter Against Johnson City Tuesday, October 2nd , 2046 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Missoula Osprey to victory, 13-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Johnson City Cardinals, Tom Moore didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Moore said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field, Moore fanned 13 and had 4 walks. And it seemed that when the Cardinals managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Moore said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck." For this year Moore has chalked up 7 wins and 8 losses in 26 starts with 160 strikeouts in 131 innings and a 5.77 ERA. |
