Gravel Rips Bristol for 5 Hits Sunday, October 7th , 2046 Allen Gravel exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Philadelphia Phillies Complex. The Philadelphia (APP) second baseman had a field day in the 28-1 triumph over the Bristol Pirates, finishing 5-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Gravel must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Allen Gravel flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 8th. This season Gravel is batting .361 with 21 home runs. |
