Dabney Booms 3 Homers Sunday, October 7th , 2046 Detroit (APP) Tigers left fielder Nate Dabney sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little. Prior to the start of today's contest with the Greeneville Astros, Dabney told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times. "During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber." The big day from Dabney pushed the Tigers past the Astros, 17-0. To go along with the homers, he collected 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Dabney told reporters after the game. Nate Dabney grounded out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off James Browning in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jon Davis in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jason Mitchell in the 8th. In the 2046 season Dabney is hitting .270 with 34 home runs. |
