Perez Goes 5-for-6 Saturday, October 13th , 2046 Tony Perez had an answer for everything the Kingsport Mets threw at him today at Philadelphia Phillies Complex. The Philadelphia (APP) second baseman went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Phillies on top, 19-7. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Perez said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Tony Perez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Jones in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Rob Fennell in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In his season totals, Perez has 27 home runs, .301 BA, .445 OBP, 100 RBIs and 145 runs scored. He has played in 105 games. |
