Marlins Howell Sizzles with Cycle Monday, October 15th , 2046 Boof Howell roughed up Bristol Pirates pitching in a big way at Academia de Prospecto Complex today, leading the Miami (APP) to a 29-0 win. With his parents and family watching from the stands, the 22-year-old shortstop put on a magnificent show, hitting for the cycle -- collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. "It was a good day for that to happen," a beaming Howell said after the game. "I really got some good looks and delivered. Sometimes you're just on." He finished his historic day with 5 hits in 7 at-bats, 8 runs batted in and 4 runs scored. Boof Howell flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Alain Marquet in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. So far this year Howell is batting .312 with 11 home runs, 47 RBIs and 75 runs scored. |
