Wiebe Whacks 3 out of the Park for Ogden Tuesday, October 16th , 2046 Every now and then, everything just comes together. Kevin Wiebe discovered that today at Hunter Wright Stadium, as he smashed three home runs during the 20-10 Ogden Raptors win over the Kingsport Mets. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Ogden designated hitter said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it." Wiebe finished the day with 3 hits in 3 at-bats and 4 RBIs. Kevin Wiebe walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Antonio Reyes in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jason Jones in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Warren Carmichael in the 7th and walked in the 8th. Wiebe is hitting .423 this year with 39 home runs, 79 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 123 at-bats, 65 walks and a .641 on-base percentage. Wiebe has played in 43 games. |
