Olvera 5-for-6 for Twins
Wednesday, October 17th , 2046
It was a sensational day at the plate for Hector Olvera as he led the charge to a 17-4 win over the Astros. The Elizabethton right fielder was pure misery for the Greeneville pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Olvera put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said T.J. Weir, manager for the Astros, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Hector Olvera struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Kuaika Anakala in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jon Davis in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Mike Wirick in the 9th.
This season Olvera is batting .337 with 31 home runs. His totals include 126 RBIs and 107 runs scored.
