The Great Falls catcher blistered Oakland (APP) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Ellington was too tough to get out today," the Athletics skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Tommy Ellington hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Andy Teague in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Andy Teague in the 7th and walked in the 8th. Ellington is batting .356 this year with 30 home runs, 105 RBIs and 116 runs scored. He has 122 hits in 343 at-bats. |
