Great Falls Moves on to World Series Wednesday, November 21st , 2046 The championship aspirations of the Great Falls Voyagers are still alive and well, while the Oakland (APP) Athletics are left to wait until next year. Great Falls won the clinching game of the Conference Series 23-1 over Oakland (APP) at Juan Marichal Complex, to win the series 4-2. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said catcher Tommy Ellington, who paced the Great Falls offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Ellington claimed the MVP by racking up 13 hits for a .542 average, with a .621 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 14 RBI and scored 10 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Series finishes. |
