Nationals Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Tuesday, January 2nd , 2046 Bill Stump said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Washington (WIN) Nationals after they missed the Winter League Baseball playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2043.In total, the Nationals have missed the playoffs 21 times in their 30-year history.
