Houston (WIN) Shut Out by del Rio Friday, January 5th , 2046 Mike del Rio led the San Francisco (WIN) Giants to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Houston (WIN) Astros at Scottsdale Stadium today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," del Rio recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." del Rio yielded 5 hits and had 6 strikeouts and 1 walk in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Houston (WIN) manager Brent Bonvillain said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." So far this year del Rio has compiled a 1-3 record with a 3.23 ERA. |
