Round 1 Goes the Distance, Asheville Prevails Wednesday, January 24th , 2046 The sweet swing of Ernest Olkowicz has led his team through the Round 1. The Asheville Tourists star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the St. Louis (WIN) Cardinals to advance to the Divisional Series. The Tourists won the final game at Roger Dean Stadium by a score of 3-2 and the series 2-1. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Olkowicz. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Olkowicz hit .273 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
