3 Home Runs for Rennie
Friday, September 28th , 2046
Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Mark Rennie can celebrate.

The Toronto Blue Jays right fielder powered three into the stands at Rogers Centre today against the Boston Red Sox.

"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Rennie told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one."

In all, he was 3-for-3 as the Blue Jays toppled Boston by a score of 8-1, knocking in 4 runs and scoring 3 times.

"He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Toronto manager Max Meany said. "He gets the ball up in the air."

Mark Rennie hit a solo-shot off Ragnar Danielsson in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ragnar Danielsson in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Adam Schneidewind in the 8th.

In 139 games this season Rennie has compiled a .297 batting average with 145 hits and 31 home runs. He has also scored 100 times and knocked in 114 runs.
