Diamondbacks, Red Sox Swap Players Thursday, December 27th , 2046 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Arizona and Boston as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 26-year old 1B David Price Jr. and a 3rd round draft pick to the Red Sox and 23-year old CF Mike Mentzer and a 2nd round draft pick to the Diamondbacks. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Boston GM. During his career Price Jr. is hitting .287 with a total of 131 home runs. Mentzer has a career .254 average with 155 hits, 34 doubles, 11 triples, 22 home runs, 83 RBIs, and 91 runs scored to date. |
