Shockers Prevail, as Semi-Finals Goes to the Wire Thursday, February 1st , 2046 The Wichita State University Shockers and University of California Golden Bears put on a classic Semi-Finals that was in question until the final game. In the end, Wichita State University won the deciding contest by a score of 3-1, to take the series 3-2. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Alex Campos, who earned series MVP honors for Wichita State University. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Campos hit .526 with a .526 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Semi-Finals finishes. |
