You're Out! Cardinal Fire Manager Jerge Tuesday, February 13th , 2046 Stanford University has fired manager Scott Jerge. "We were not doing the things you've got to do every day," Cardinal general manager Dane Dunning told reporters. "We saw that things were not going to change. We had huge expectations coming into the season and we did not live up to them." The current coaching staff will be assigned to run the ballclub in the interim until a new manager can be hired. Jerge was told of his dismissal yesterday morning and was not available for comment. The Stanford University spokesman called it a "sensitive and emotional" meeting with Jerge -- and would not discuss whether Jerge would be offered another job in the Cardinal system. |
