Nittany Lions Shut Out Tigers, Kalinsky Winner Wednesday, October 3rd , 2046 It wasn't easy but the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions made it look that way. Starter David Kalinsky shut out the Clemson University Tigers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions cruised to victory, 12-0. Kalinsky allowed only 2 hits and rang up 13 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." For the year Kalinsky has a 7-1 record with a 1.53 ERA in 9 starts. |
