DIV II's Star Player Named Monday, October 22nd , 2046 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Division 2, but last week Oscar Ramirez of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Ramirez rocked opposing pitching for a .467 average (7-for-15), 3 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. During the current season Ramirez is batting at a .267 clip with 3 home runs and 21 RBIs. He has played in 50 games and scored 11 times. |
