Rollins Belts 3 HR Against University of Arizona Wednesday, October 31st , 2046 It was a good day for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tar Heels and an exceptional one for Jeremy Rollins. The 17-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Tar Heels beat the University of Arizona Wildcats 6-3 at Hi Corbett Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Rollins said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Jeremy Rollins flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Gilg Martin in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Gilg Martin in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Obloy in the 8th and walked in the 9th. So far this season, Rollins has recorded a .273 batting average with 53 hits, 16 home runs, 31 RBIs, 24 runs scored and a .317 OBP. |
