Vanderbilt University Right Fielder Rated Best Rookie Thursday, November 1st , 2046 Youngster Pete Mitchell emerged as the latest Dvision 1 Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Vanderbilt University deserved the honor, batting .379 with 11 home runs and 33 RBI. Is the month of October a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Mitchell enjoy the limelight. This year Mitchell has 25 home runs and a .337 batting average. |
