DIV II Player of the Week Chosen Monday, November 26th , 2046 16-year-old Rafael Banda sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Division 2 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Banda made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .412 average, 7 hits in 17 at-bats, 3 home runs and 5 RBI. Where the Oklahoma State University Cowboys right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Banda certainly made his mark last week. Looking at his stats this year, Banda has compiled a .347 batting average, while hitting 28 home runs and driving in 59 runs. He has played in 69 games and scored 49 runs. |
