League Punishes Pair for Fighting Saturday, December 8th , 2046 After an intense confrontation, both the Cowboys Masakuni Takeuchi and the Nittany Lions Justin Tidwell were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Oklahoma State University-Pennsylvania State University game. Masakuni Takeuchi will miss 4 games, while Justin Tidwell was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Masakuni Takeuchi commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Takeuchi is hitting .204 with 18 home runs and 46 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .295 clip and scored 40 runs. So far this year Tidwell has compiled a 7-2 record with a 3.07 ERA. |
