Banda Crushes 3 Homers Against University of Illinois Friday, December 14th , 2046 Rafael Banda brutalized the University of Illinois Fighting Illini pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 5-0 victory at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium. The Oklahoma State University Cowboys right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Rafael Banda today," Fighting Illini manager Larry Stefanski II said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Rafael Banda flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Matt Rossiter in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matt Rossiter in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Roger Whitaker in the 7th.
