Corrales on a Hot Streak, DIV I Player of the Week Monday, December 31st , 2046 17-year-old Gary Corrales sent shock waves through Evolution last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Dvision 1 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Corrales made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .524 average, 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 runs batted in. Where the University of Arizona Wildcats left fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Corrales certainly made his mark last week. This season Corrales has hit at a .312 clip and produced 55 RBI, 23 home runs and 47 runs. |
