Palm Beach Lose, 13-0, to Marlins, Simons
Sunday, July 29th , 2046
Miami Beach Marlins starter Eric Simons really did a number on the Palm Beach Nationals today, shutting them out 13-0 on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 15 strikeouts.

"We didn't have good at-bats," said Palm Beach manager Clancy Wilkins. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Simons."

Simons has taken the mound for 42 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 4-4 record with a 7.51 ERA. The Miami Beach reliever has limited opposing batters to a .279 batting average.
