Valle Blanks Roswell, 7-0 Friday, August 17th , 2046 It wasn't easy but Leon Valle made it look that way. Valle silenced the Roswell Invaders, 7-0, in a Miami Beach Marlins triumph at Area 51 today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Valle said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Over the season Valle has thrown 104.1 innings and dished out 94 strikeouts with a 5-10 mark and a 7.50 ERA. |
