O'Connor Shuts Out Chester, 13-0 Sunday, September 2nd , 2046 In an outstanding mound performance, Brockton Rox starter Austin O'Connor fired a complete-game shutout against the Chester Pirates at Brockton Fields today. O'Connor was the key to the Rox's 13-0 win. The 19-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." In 11 starts this year O'Connor has crafted a 3-6 record and a 3.20 ERA. |
