17-K Game for Marlins Zuniga
Tuesday, September 4th , 2046
Led by an outstanding performance from starter David Zuniga, the Miami Beach Marlins topped the Madison Brewers today by a score of 12-4 at Ballpark of Madison. The 20-year-old Zuniga brought his top game to the mound, striking out 17 batters while allowing 4 hits and giving up 6 walks.
"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Brewers manager Josh Bacon said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
This season Zuniga has logged 2 saves. He has thrown 88.1 innings, dished out 148 strikeouts and walked 50 while putting up a 4-4 mark and a 5.40 ERA.
