Zhào Spins 15-K Game Tuesday, September 4th , 2046 Everything was working for Yok-sing Zhào today at Toros Stadium. He had the perfect delivery. The ball was moving. The curveball was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 17-year-old Zhào fanned 15 Blasters and sparked the Tijuana Toros to a 16-3 victory over Joplin. He left Blasters hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Tijuana manager Glenn Lovell. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 7 innings, Zhào allowed 4 hits and 1 walk in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Zhào said with a smile. Thus far this year Zhào is batting .155 with 3 home runs, 17 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
