Chris Temple Strokes 3 Home Runs Sunday, September 16th , 2046 Chris Temple went yard three times in a Oakland Oaks victory over the Roswell Invaders at Oakland Oaks Grounds today. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Oakland catcher went 3-for-5 against Roswell with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Oaks to the 17-8 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Chris Temple flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Sam Davis in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Sam Davis in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Javier Rosales in the 8th. In 2046 Temple has hit at a .334 clip with 114 hits, 24 home runs, 76 RBIs and has scored 82 times. |
