Luna 5-for-5 for Victoria Monday, September 17th , 2046 Eddie Luna did a number on the Avalanche in the Victoria 17-4 victory today, and the number was 5. The Capitals shortstop banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Ballpark of Victoria to lead his club past the Colorado Avalanche. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Eddie Luna doubled in the 2nd, tripled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Nick Martin in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Luna is hitting at a .329 mark this season. His stats show 25 home runs, 88 RBIs and 76 runs scored. He has played 96 games for the Capitals. |
