Dolfini on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Joplin Sunday, September 30th , 2046 Costantino Dolfini did a number on the Blasters in the Americus 25-1 victory today, and the number was 5. The Braves center fielder banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Joplin Baseball Complex to lead his club past the Joplin Blasters. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Costantino Dolfini struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Oscar Cisneros in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Tristan Irwin in the 6th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This year Dolfini has socked 106 hits in 426 at-bats for a .249 average with 33 home runs. He is getting on base at a .341 pace and his totals also include 93 RBIs and 88 runs scored. |
