Marlins Spank Invaders, 10-0
Friday, October 5th , 2046
Today was Eric Simons's turn in the rotation for the Miami Beach Marlins and he made the most of it, shutting out the Roswell Invaders on 1 hit.
The 18-year-old right-hander led the Marlins to an easy 10-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 9 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Roswell manager Luis Balderas said. "Simons certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
Simons has taken the mound for 42 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 9-7 record with a 6.04 ERA. The Miami Beach reliever has limited opposing batters to a .243 batting average.
