Portland Angels Mathematically Out of Playoffs Thursday, October 11th , 2046 It has been a woeful season for the Portland Angels and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager Eli Boike. "And nothing broke our way this year." The Angels have made the playoffs 3 times in their 25 years as a Pioneer Baseball League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 9th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2037. In the last 10 seasons, the Angels have only made the playoffs once. |
