Oakland Win Round 1 Friday, October 19th , 2046 The Oakland Oaks have beaten the Kelowna Heat in the Round 1, despite a strong performance from Heat first baseman Chris West. West was given MVP honors for his performance even though his team came out on the losing end of the series. "It's a good news, bad news thing I guess," he said. "Unfortunately the bad news is really bad -- our season is over." Oakland won the final game by a score of 8-3 at Oakland Oaks Grounds and took the series 4-0. The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
