Southern Maryland Win Round 1 Saturday, October 20th , 2046 The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs triumphed 5-3 over the Windy City ThunderBolts at The Aquarium in the Round 1 to capture it 4-2. The victory advanced the Blue Crabs to the Quarter-Finals. For his superb play in the series, Blue Crabs right fielder Jonathan Mendoza garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .500, scoring 8 runs and batting in 15. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Mendoza said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
