Lowther Tops All, Wins WL Most Valuable Player Award
Sunday, December 2nd , 2046
The best could still be yet to come for Glenn Lowther of the Colorado Avalanche, and that's the scary part.
At the age of only 23, the ace pitcher has accomplished a major feat, being named the 2046 Western League Most Valuable Player Award winner.
His breakthrough campaign saw him put up a 13-1 record, while pitching 126.1 innings, with 139 strikeouts and 14 walks, for a 1.71 ERA. Lowther was tough on hitters all season long, as they only put up a .185 batting average against him.
"I had a lot of fun this season," the young talent said.
He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jerry Foster of the Amarillo ThunderHeads finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Felipe Gomez of the Oakland Oaks finished third with 2 first place votes.
