Mason Jacks 3 into the Stands Saturday, October 27th , 2046 Sam Mason brutalized the University of Conneticut Huskies pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 7-4 victory at J. O. Christian Field. The University of Oklahoma Sooners shortstop was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Sam Mason today," Huskies manager Juan L. Rodriguez said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Sam Mason hit a solo-shot off William Garcia in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off William Garcia in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Sherwood Abernethy in the 7th. This year Mason is batting .185 with 9 home runs and 16 RBIs. |
