League KO's Cavaliers-Black Bears Players with 4-Game Suspensions
Wednesday, October 31st , 2046
In an announcement today, the league informed Josh Glass of University of Virginia and Daniel Graves of University of Maine that they both had been suspended 4 games for fighting in a recent game.
The league president told them, "This type of aggressive behavior will not be tolerated in this league."
Glass wasn't happy with the length of his suspension. He thought he got the worst deal and told the league commissioner, "In any fight, whoever throws the first punch should get a more severe penalty. If I threw the first punch, I'd expect to get the most punishment. Whoever took the blow should get a lesser punishment."
His manager agreed with him and said something needs to be done about it. "Glass is right. The league needs to look at its policy and make sure the punishment fits the crime."
This season Glass is batting .098 with 13 hits, 1 home run, 7 RBIs, 15 walks, .200 OBP and has scored 5 runs. He has played in 44 games.
To date, Graves has 19 saves. In 31 relief appearances he has tossed 32.2 innings, fanned 31 and given up 16 walks with 1 win and 4 losses. The University of Maine reliever has recorded a 2.20 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .114 when he on the mound.
