Bulldogs Pitching Ravaged by Arreola Friday, November 30th , 2046 5 times is the charm -- at least for Ruben Arreola. The University of Oklahoma Sooners third baseman tore up the Mississippi State University Bulldogs to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Dudy Noble Field today. The offensive onslaught from Arreola powered the Sooners to a 11-2 win. "Arreola was a tough out today," Mississippi State University manager Edgar Alfonzo said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Ruben Arreola doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Simmons in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Josh Stene in the 9th. For the season Arreola has produced 45 hits in 155 at-bats for a .290 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .333 clip. |
