Vasquez Gets 5 Hits Monday, December 3rd , 2046 Winston Vasquez was on fire today and sparked his club to a 20-2 victory over the Bulldogs. The Louisiana State University second baseman was a tough out and went 5-for-6 against Mississippi State University in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Winston Vasquez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 8th. So far this season Vasquez is batting .200 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 41 hits in 205 at-bats, 15 walks and a .273 OBP. Vasquez has played in 78 games. |
