Cole Twirls 12-0 Shutout for Intimidators
|
In a remarkable performance, Kannapolis Intimidators starter Jan Cole beat the Lexington Legends 12-0 in an impressive 5-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Intimidators hurler finished with 12 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Lexington manager Luis Rosario said following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
Cole has compiled an ERA of 1.36 so far this season, winning 16 games with 2 losses and no saves. In no relief appearances he has hurled 132.1 innings, yielded 89 hits and struck out 132. Opposing hitters have batted .193 against Cole.
