Led by an outstanding performance from starter Bob Lattin, the Great Lakes Loons topped the South Bend Cubs today by a score of 3-0 at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. The 28-year-old Lattin brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 1 hit and giving up no walks.

"He made a lot of good pitches out there," Cubs manager Akil Baddoo said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
